Yekîneyên Parastinê Gel (People's Defense Units, YPG) Volunteerwas honored yesterday in Birmingham by the Kurdish
community of the United Kingdom. Nemır
Çiya (Awere Resul) died in the framework of the offensive of the Kurdish militia "Euphrates Wrath", in the north of Raqa, Syria. The Volunteer was originally from Qeladiz, in Iraqi Kurdistan (Basur).
Parliaments echoed the need for Kurdish national unity as well as the daily sacrifice that the Kurdish people have to make to be Kurdish either in Iraq or in Syria. Representatives of Tevgera Azadi, PJAK parties, Partiya Yekîtiya Democrat and the Conference of Communities of Kurdistan (Koma Civakên Kurdistan, KCK) took part. Nemır Çiya was honored on 17 February in Rojava and later buried in the mountains of Qandil.
