Noam Chomsky i 130 personalitats fan una crida per Kobanê


El manifest en defensa de Kobanê (Kurdistan de Síria), denuncia el setge salvatge que els fonamentalistes islàmics d'IS duen a terme i fa una crida a la mobilització mundial. El dia de 1 de novembre s'estan organitzant mobilitzacions arreu del món. Entre elles l'acte de KurdisCat a La Garriga.

Hi haurà manifestacions ja confirmades a París, Marsella, Rennes, Estrasourg, Basilea, Colònia, Hamburg, Berlin, Bremen, Francfurt, Nuremberg, Friburg, Stuttgart, Oslo, Estocolm, Göteborg, Copenhague, Viena, Atenes, Nicòsia, Londres, La Haia, Brussel·les i Helsinki. També als EUA, Japó, Amèrica Llatina, Índia i Pakistan.

Els signataris del manifest són ja 130 personalitats que inclouen el professor Noam Chomsky, Alfredo Pérez Esquivel, el membre de la Cambra dels Lords, Lord Hylton, Desmond Tutu, el diputat flamenc Ward Kennes, Michel Roland, president de Metges del Món, l'entrenador de la selecció argentina Fernando Signorini o l'historiador i periodista Manuel Martorell. A part de les personalitats hi ha desenes de moviments polítics i socials de base que signen la crida.
Un appel mondial « Urgence Kobané » a été lancé par de nombreuses personnalités de renom pour soutenir la ville kurde Kobané qui résiste depuis 15 septembre contre les barbares de Daesh. C'est un appel à descendre dans la rue le 1er novembre du monde entier.
Depuis plus d'un mois, les Kurdes sont dans les rues pour soutenir la résistance de Kobané, l'un des trois cantons du Kurdistan syrien autoproclamé. Les pays du monde et toutes les villes européennes ont témoigné la résistance kurde et la solidarité entre les peuples.
La résistance historique d'une petite ville, celle de Kobané, n'a pas seulement ému le monde entier mais elle a donné de l'espoir. C'est une ville qui a surement changé le cours de l'histoire. Une ville qui représente une résistance incroyable, l’héroïsme, la puissance de la femme et sa lutte féroce pour la liberté, la détermination, l'espoir d'une nouvelle vie, la volonté humaine et la solidarité internationale. Mais c'est aussi une ville qui a rendu visible la lâcheté infâme des gouvernements, la complicité avec des sauvages, le bilan catastrophique d'une politique régionale et internationale.
Au moment où des régions et des pays n'ont pas montré le courage et la dignité de résister face aux barbares, la ville de Kobané offre, plus que jamais, une occasion pour fraternité, solidarité et se mobiliser au niveau mondial.
Un grand nombre de signataires ont lancé un appel à descendre dans la rue pour donner ce message aux acteurs mondiaux : une autre politique est possible. Parmi les signataires figurent des prix Nobel, historiens, universitaires, écrivains, politiciens et parlementaires.
Les manifestations auront lieu à Paris, Marseille, Rennes, Strasbourg, Basel, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Bremen, Francfort, Nuremberg, Freiburg, Stuttgart, Oslo, Stockholm, Göteborg, Copenhague, Vienne, Athene, Nicosie, Londres, Den Haag, Bruxelles et à Helsinki, mais aussi en Amérique latine, aux Etats-Unis, au Japon, en Inde et au Pakistan.
« Le 15 septembre dernier, l'organisation Daesh a entamé une vaste offensive sur plusieurs fronts contre la ville kurde de Kobané, dans le nord de la Syrie (Ouest-Kurdistan, dit aussi Rojava). C’est la troisième fois que Kobané est visée par cette organisation depuis le mois de mars 2014.
Les deux premières offensives ayant été repoussées, Daesh a rassemblé toutes ses forces pour attaquer encore plus fort et s’emparer de la ville.
En janvier dernier, les Kurdes du Rojava ont mis en place un système d'administration autonome organisé en trois cantons. Kobané qui est l'un de ces cantons est longé au nord par la frontière turque, étant encerclé de tous les autres côtés par des zones sous contrôle de Daesh.
Daesh est entré dans la ville de Kobané en utilisant des armes lourdes de fabrication américaine. Des centaines de milliers de civils sont confrontés à la menace d’un génocide. A Kobané, la population tente de résister avec armes légères contre les attaques brutales de ces gangs surarmés. Pour les secourir, ils ne peuvent compter que sur le soutien des YPG et des YPJ, les unités de défense du peuple.
Voilà pourquoi il est important de se mobiliser au niveau mondial pour Kobané et contre Daesh
La soit-disant coalition internationale contre Daesh n’a apporté aucune aide à la résistance des Kurdes, bien que ceux-ci soient les témoins du génocide en cours.
La coalition n’a pas rempli les obligations auxquelles elle est tenue en vertu du droit international. Plusieurs des pays membres de cette alliance, en particulier la Turquie, font partie des soutiens militaires et financiers de Daesh, et non des moindres. 
Voilà pourquoi il est important de se mobiliser au niveau mondial pour Kobané et contre Daesh
Si la communauté internationale souhaite que la démocratie puisse prendre racine au Moyen-Orient, elle doit soutenir la résistance kurde à Kobané. Le modèle démocratique de l’administration autonome du Rojava est un exemple pour toutes les populations de la Syrie. Ce modèle est laïc, pluraliste, et permet de réaliser l'unité dans la diversité.
Agissons maintenant 
Il est grand temps de donner ce message aux acteurs mondiaux : une autre politique est possible.
